This summer’s sub-prime crisis wasn’t just extremely challenging for capital markets. It also created a level of volatility in the FX market not seen since September 2001. Yet the crisis also presented an opportunity. In this case, it was to address the operational issues that had been revealed as a result of the huge volume of currency traded electronically during the height of the sub-prime debacle.
