By using Derivatives, Dutch Pension Funds are more actively managing their interest rate risk.

By using Derivatives, Dutch Pension Funds are more actively managing their interest rate risk. Often, these trades are executed on a collaterised basis: Collateral will be adopted when the Market Value of outstanding trades exceeds pre-agreed threshold values. Through RaboTreasuryWeb, clients can already access the current Market Value of their outstanding Derivatives.<br>
From October 2005 clients will also be able to monitor the Market Value of any Collateral posted. On the basis of the Market Value of the outstanding Trades, the Market Value of the Collateral and the specifics of the Contract between both parties, the client is offered a full insight whether additional action is needed. This feature is designed to facilitate the operational process for all Rabobank clients. Originally aimed at Pension Funds, this feature is now available for all Corporate and Institutional clients as well.
