Lykke, the Swiss start-up engaged in building a blockchain-based FX/asset marketplace (see eForex January 2016), has been granted a broker licence, its fi rst, by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission.

Lykke, the Swiss start-up engaged in building a blockchain-based FX/asset marketplace (see eForex January 2016), has been granted a broker licence, its fi rst, by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission. This will enable the provision of “a comprehensive service package with online trading and seamless integrations” to residents in Asian and African countries. Lykke is now applying for licences in Cyprus, the UK and Switzerland, with applications for the USA, Japan and Australia to follow in 2017. The Lykke Wallet app is now available on Android as well as on iOS; new functionality including instant payments has been added to the Lykke Wallet on iOS.
