Why is it increasingly important that leading FX technology firms like PrimeXM sign up to well recognised international and industry standards?
PrimeXM, as a third party, accesses the data of hundreds of clients including leaders in the financial industry. It is of utmost importance for us to meet all security, technical infrastructure and operational objectives at all times. For almost a decade we have been providing solutions that meet our clients’ security and regulatory requirements and plan on never failing to deliver.
PrimeXM has been certified for ISO/IEC 27001 which is an information security standard. What does this testify about the way your team now goes about examining and dealing with the firms information security risks and your deployment of more robust information security controls?
Protecting our clients’ data and maintaining fully secure services has been part of our ethos from day one. ISO 27001 helps us assess and manage risks and threats to the business proactively. We also ensure that physical security processes are consistently enforced. Holding the most widely accepted certification for verifying information security, physical security and business continuity, is an extra layer of credibility to keep our clients’ minds at peace.
ISAE3000 is another important standard that PrimeXM has achieved certification for. In what ways does it help you to give independent assurance to your customers and their auditors on their processes and controls you employ and the reliability of your services?
Trusted third party assurance is understandably a reinforcement of our commitment to our clients. While our long-standing loyal clients have experienced the level of security we provide, it is important for us to give independent assurance on our processes and control to our customers, auditors and regulators. Just like the ISO 27001, the ISAE3000 is proof of the high quality of our services.
Looking ahead what plans do you have for seeking further certification to other important industry standards?
Our biggest investment is to maintain and review our current certifications by keeping the quality of our services up to standard. Further down the line we will continue to obtain new certifications where and when relevant and as our line of products continues to expand.
